How does the AI hackathon work?
Your path to the AI Hackathon
Your Journey to the AI Hackathon Starting June 15, you have six weeks to submit your idea on Makers or apply as a technical builder. While the call for entries is open, learning modules will guide you through exploring the Sella agent framework. In September, each team will develop its solution with dedicated technical support. The journey culminates in the AI Days Hackathon: two in-person days to build your agent and present it on stage.
The best ideas come from the community
No idea is too small or too big: what matters is how well it addresses a real need and how much engagement it generates on Makers—likes, comments, interactions. Having a technical expert on your team from the start is a real advantage. If you apply as a builder without an idea, you’ll be matched with a team that needs your skills.
Two days to build your own AI agent
The most well-developed ideas and those that have generated the most engagement within the community qualify for the AI Days Hackathon. During the two-day in-person event, teams develop their own AI agent and present it to a panel of experts. It’s a practical, hands-on experience where your work is showcased and helps shape the way our Group uses AI.

Incremental ideas are improvement ideas on already existing products/services, processes or experiences that require a short exploratory process to better understand their feasibility and effectiveness.
Radical ideas, on the other hand, aim to investigate new business areas and adopt disruptive technologies, requiring an exploratory process structured over several phases to understand and evaluate their feasibility and effectiveness. They are those that can lead to important changes in the Group's business.
